Activities at the Center

English Class Hope Station - Saturdays

Nozomi Center holds English conversation classes from 3 years old to adults. Center staff and English speaking volunteers make up a teaching team to have engaging and fun classes.

Nozomi Kitchen - Fridays & Saturdays

Nozomi Center turns into a cafe space on Fridays and Saturdays. Chatting with friends, reading a book, it's a space to relax and to refresh. Tea, coffee and desserts provided ♥

Leasing the Center for local events

The hall room can hold upto 60 people. We lease t center to the locals that want to use the space for events such as concerts, craft classes, meetings, exercise classes, etc.

Seasonal Events

Inviting the locals, we have held Thanks Giving, Christmast Party, Dumpling Party, Easter Party and birthday parties.

After school care - Tuesdays through Saturdays

There aren't many places where kids can play...so then come to the Center! Sports outside and games/drawings inside.

Activities at Temporary Housings

Events at the common room - Wednesdays　

Every Wednesday we visit temporary housings in Yamamoto to hold an event and provide tea and coffee. Valentines' Day baking, quiz times, crafts, simple things that give us some good laughs and great time of fellowship. Lots of photos are taken and shared afterwards.

Kids' events - School holidays　

Christmas holiday, spring breaks are great time to play with the children living in the temporary housings. Great to get to know the kids and visit them again and again.

Outdoor work

In 2012, Nozomi Center helped the rebuilding of strawberry farms and paprika farms, with the help of many volunteers. The work included picking out glass and stones from the soil, building of greenhouses, harvesting and packing of the produces.
We also help the locals for clearing up their gardens and grass cutting.
